Dinosaurs need love on Valentines Day too right??? In this house we are very fond of dinosaurs and when Ella asked if we could make some “dino marshmallows” I knew we had a fun cooking activity ahead! I thought I’d share this yummy post with all of you to stir up some ideas for v-day morning with your special someone or littles and you can use any cookie cutter shape your heart (or their) desires. Our kiddos LOVE homemade maple syrup marshmallows and we have so much fun with them making cute shapes of different sizes. You can find the recipe we posted last month here and I will also be sharing our top 3 favourite homemade hot chocolate recipes on the blog next week. This year I wanted to do something homemade for Ella to hand out to her little friends and so we decided on homemade dinosaur marshmallows that are free of all the yucky stuff the store bought ones contain and after making them we wrapped those T-Rex & Stegosaurus’ up in clear wrapping and ribbon. A big thanks to Cait Patrick for these images, I really wanted to capture a fun moment in the kitchen with the kids and you will be seeing a lot more of it this year, we have some big big BIG news to share next month – a project that has been in the works with some of our sponsors for over a year now and it is finallllly becoming a reality! I know you will all love what’s to come just as much as you’ll love this Canadian inspired mellows recipe. PS you can find the dinosaur cookie cutters here or click the image below and guess what? They’re under $20! Your littles (and you) will love them + they make for a great gift! I’ve also made a little gift guide below with some great items for a mama who loves her kitchen, some are on sale and each item is mama approved by yours truly (I own & love every item!!). I’ve even included my favourite journal right now that Craig surprised me with before our trip to Hawaii, it’s an adorable 5 year Q&A book where you answer a different question every day for a year, each year you start again from the start so that you can see how your answers changed over the 5 years. It’s so adorable and fun, plus it’s size is very travel/purse friendly! As always the links to each item are below the image for you.  xo
