Travel Guide: Cocoa Beach, Florida

Along our Florida road trip this year, we visited a really cool city called Cocoa Beach. We were super excited to make our way there because of it’s reputation and friends of ours had opened up two really cute vacation villas in the area. Cocoa Beach is known for its beautiful beaches, surf shops and surf breaks.

Fun Fact: Did you know that this is where Kelly Slater grew up and learned to surf?

Where to Stay:

We are all about staying in houses when we have the option as we love to cook, can have more privacy, private laundry facilities and a private pool. When my friend Krista started sharing about her Cali Villas project on Instagram, I couldn’t wait to one day rent them. Earlier this year the opportunity came up and we were so grateful to feature her beautifully designed spaces. These villas are the cutest, seriously! They are California themed and they officially have 3 rentals now, including their newest ‘ The Santa Monica‘. They are all designed a similar way with beautiful tile work, wallpaper and furniture you swoon over. The perfect rental for a little family getaway in Cocoa Beach or a week with the girls, these are the rentals you wanna take photos in, well and outside of with their stylish backyard set ups too. No details were spared in these villas! During our stay we featured The Laguna and our friends stayed at The Malibu, both have two bedrooms and 1 bathroom and are very spacious. These two rentals share a beautiful backyard with an entertaining space and a hot tub. After the kids went to bed in the evenings we would hangout under the stars and share a laugh if we weren’t also asleep in their super comfy beds. The kitchens are stocked with cookware and appliances and each rental has full private laundry facilities that are included, bonus!

Where to Eat:

Cafe Surfinista 86 N Orlando Ave, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931

This cafe was our favourite stop in Cocoa Beach for food, they make great lattes and smoothies, smoothie bowls, , avocado toasts, sandwiches and salads. There is a great surf vibe at this cafe and they even have a ping pong table in the back. There is tons of cozy seating and they also have a retail area where we snagged some shirts to bring back to Costa Rica!
