Follow Friday

I thought I would change things up a bit this week, usually I join in on a Follow Friday Instagram post sharing some fabulous women with you all and so this week I wanted to share a little differently.
This week I have picked up two blogs that I am truly enjoying right now from things like reviews of childrens items, DIY posts and healthy recipes. Leigh – the beautiful mama and writer behind Laughing Latte knew I was starting another no refined sugar cleanse and has posted delicious looking (and healthy) pie her sister made on Easter weekend. After chatting with them I got a hold of the original  Vegan Coconut Cream Pie recipe by The Alkaline Sisters, it is unreal delicious (I promise)…you would never guess that is it free of refined sugar and has zucchini in the recipe?! It is so refreshing to find delicious recipes that are sweet but free of the evil that is refined sugar, the link to the recipe is in a fabulous post with more information on how brutal sugar really is on your system if you didn’t already know or are just in denial lately like I was. These lovely sisters shared a book called Sugar Blues I am reading now. Aren’t the pie images darling too? I know you will enjoy both of their blogs as much as I am, let me know if you stumble upon a recipe you would like me to try out and share with you all! A new Homesense recently opened up and murdered my wallet yesterday, I told you guys I cannot leave there without a purchase – it’s impossible. I found some pretty adorable pieces to work into the kids rooms and the office feature we are working on, oh heck and a bunch of other things too! I have been slack on my Instagram feed this last week with Noah being sick and working hard on the office feature, it will all be worth it when I post the reveal.
On another note, I am so excited to share that I will be a guest speaker April 30th at a Mom Entrepreneur Event hosted by the beautiful mommy duo – Social Common. These two women work hard every day to make it possible for mothers to come together and share business ideas, common interests and to truly laugh about the subjects of motherhood and womanhood really. Natalie & Catherine have started a social club for mums unlike any other, if you haven’t stumbled upon these two yet and you are in the Toronto area…you’re welcome! Their YouTube channel is delightful and leaves me crippled in laughter – they say the stuff we are all thinking, no filter!
