Summer Lace

During maternity you need at least 2 fancier dresses for special occasions, this dress was originally for our engagement party after being informed that as the bride to be I should wear white (oh what a flattering colour when pregnant) but it unfortunately never arrived in time for the party. I decided to wear it in our last shoot and boy was it comfortable & stretchy galore. ASOS maternity never ceases to amaze me with the comfort of their items from casual to items such as these. This dress comes in black and is a great price, it comes with the thin waist belt too! I organized my closet this weekend and I think I counted that I have roughly 40 different waist belts? All from various purchases and second hand store outings, of course I am keeping every one of them ha ha – so much for de-cluttering! I am in nesting mode officially, my mom has been over almost every day taking a couple of hours to help me tackle a task I have been putting off for months. Any mama knows that once the newborn arrives everything is on hold for at least a month so I am hoping I can get as much done before I go into labour. Craig is nearly finished our mudroom/powder room on the main floor and I am SO proud of him – it looks amazing! I cannot wait to share some photos with all of you when it is done & decorated. Here’s to hoping we have at least one more week to get things finished and organized before our new little one arrives- oh AND to finally get Ella into her big girl room!
I was lucky enough to work with Alisha at Cora Lane jewellery again who sent me these lovely earrings & bracelet, I absolutely LOVE her items. She is always adding new pieces and the quality is phenomenal…I was smitten over the earrings especially, so vintage looking which is just my style. I received a few emails regarding the chai smoothie I made a week or so ago so I thought I would share the recipe below for you lovelies, it was a delicious snack!
