Fraiche Nutrition: Smoothie Bowls

Hey guys! Today I am sharing one of my favourite food bloggers with you, if you’ve been following for awhile now you will have seen some of these guest posts by Tori of Fraiche Nutrition Blog before, her recipes are drool worthy and today I am sharing 4 delish smoothie bowl recipes that she put together with my favourite vegan protein powders! Tori is a Canadian mama of 2 sweet boys and a dietician, her recipes not only taste great but she also keeps your health in mind when creating them. I know when I am reading about her latest creative dish that I can trust her suggestions.

I worked with Genuine Health this year since we love their products so I was excited to feature this post by Tori, have a read below and let me know if you get a chance to make any of the 4. If you do, I’d love to know which one was your favourite. Mine is the Pina Colada smoothie bowl of course! xo

I created these smoothie bowls with the Genuine Health fermented protein powders and have loved eating them post-workout!  I made them extremely uncomplicated so that they are easy to throw together with the ingredients you would have on-hand, and I loved how they stayed frozen or thick for longer, I find that the protein powder helps.  Though Greek yogurt is inherently high in protein, adding the Genuine Health fermented protein powder lets you get the 20-25 grams of protein that I recommend to properly build and repair muscle tissue.  You can use either the Genuine Health fermented vegan proteins+ or the Genuine Health fermented Greek yogurt proteins+ products, they are both amazing!  They have a really nice taste and texture, and are fermented to improve digestion and absorption. – Tori of Fraiche Nutrition

Each of these smoothie bowls serves one, and all you need to do is throw all of the ingredients in a blender until they are smooth, adding a bit more of the liquid if needed. Tori suggests that hey are best served right away!  You can top the smoothie bowls with so many delicious things but some of Tori’s favourites are:

  • shredded coconut

  • granola

  • hemp seeds

  • chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds etc.)

  • pumpkin seeds

  • diced fresh fruit (sliced bananas, berries)

Mango Lassi Smoothie Bowl

Raspberry Lime Smoothie Bowl

Pina Colada Smoothie Bowl

Green Goddess Smoothie Bowl

Don’t all of these look amazing? It’s nice to have a yummy and healthy recipe that can also be super refreshing on those hot summer days too. Which one sounds the most delicious to you?
