Heart Pizza!!!

You can either make your own dough or of course pick it up from your local bakery, here is our favourite homemade recipe for our pizza crust!

Homemade Pizza Dough:

  • 4 cups of organic unbleached all purpose flour

  • 2 packs of active dry yeast

  • 1/2 cup olive oil or avocado oil

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp sea salt

Pour 1 1/2 cups warm water into mixerΒ bowlΒ and sprinkle it with yeast, let it stand until it’s foamy, about 3-6 minutes. Whisk sugar, salt and oil into yeast mixture. Add flour &Β mix on low until a sticky dough forms. Transfer your dough to an oiled bowl and brush top with olive oil, cover the bowl with plastic wrap & set aside in a warm place until the dough has doubled in size, approximately an hour.

Turn out your dough onto a lightly floured surface (we use marble) &Β gently knead a couple of times before using.

Shape your dough onto your pizza pan, this can be difficult if your dough springs back but be patient it will work (you just may not get a perfect heart). Once your dough is in desired shape, put on your pizza sauce and toppings and bake!
