The Bliss List

I am so excited to introduce a new weekly series to the blog – Bliss List! Each and every Friday, I’ll be curating and sharing six things that I’m loving, feeling, using, eying, and coveting, while drawing from whatever is currently inspiring me. I would love this series to become a place where I can organically share a little bit of everything (however random it may be) rather than waiting to incorporate something into a more specific and concentrated blog post. My hope is that you’ll love reading the Bliss List as much as I love writing it, and that you find a little something you can take away from it each week.

I’ve recently been making a greater effort to designate more time to self-care (who isn’t, am I right?). But as a mom, a wife, an entrepreneur, and someone who just generally can’t sit still, it’s a bit of a struggle and definitely an ongoing process. However, I’ve recently become obsessed with this ATIVO Coconut Milk Bath Soak. Not only does it smell like an absolute dream (hello organic and cruelty-free coconut milk and oatmeal) but after fifteen minutes in the tub it leaves my skin luxuriously soft. If “self-care” can be spent trying out the rest of their product line, count me in! Find it {here}.

Every spring I like to buy myself a fresh new set of pajamas. Warmer temperatures allow me to tuck away my cozy and worn winter flannels and reach for something lighter. I just ordered this pair and while they come in several colours, just like bed sheets, I couldn’t resist the crisp, clean white ones found {here}. Budget friendly yet equally adorable, this pair features the sweetest lemon detail for only $45.

You guys know that I love my plants, both indoors and out, and I’m quick to swoon over stylish accessories that speak to my green thumb. Well, this gold watering can is giving me all the heart eyes! It’s definitely pretty enough to be left out and styled in between waterings – hopefully reminding you to tend to your plants as needed.

One of my favourite sites to frequent for inspiration is My Domaine. You’re probably familiar with their drool-worthy home tours (oh hey, Lauren Conrad and Brooklyn Decker) but during one of my most recent visits, I came across this “how-to” article for growing your own avocado plants. And guess what? You’re only a few steps away from an unlimited supply of fresh homemade guac, because all you need to get started is a clean pit from a grocery-store avocado. I’m most definitely giving this a go!

I can’t stop thumbing the pages of The Half-Baked Harvest, a beautiful cookbook by Tieghan Gerard. A girlfriend of mine recently lent me her copy and I kid you not, I wanted to flag nearly every recipe. “Healthy Chipotle Turkey Sweet Potato Skins,” “Spicy Italian Sausage and Arugula Pizza,” and “Chipotle-Roasted Sweet Potato and Quinoa Tacos” are just a few recipes that I can. not. wait. to try! Ok, one more, because “Whole-Wheat Chocolate Hazelnut Challah,” need I say more?! Find this cookbook {here}.

You might have seen these pink block heels when I linked to them in my stories a little over a week ago. Well, I am still so in love with them and think they were completely worth the splurge. I’m confident I’ll get a lot of use out of them, they can definitely be dressed up but I’m more excited to find ways to dress them down for a casual date night or drinks with my girlfriends. Is anyone else crushing hard on blush pink?

I hope you enjoyed reading our first post in the Bliss List series and that you’ll look forward to it each week like I do. I’d love to hear from you and chat – fill me in on how you make time for self-care (tell me there’s a trick!), if you decide to grow your own avocados for endless guac (I mean why wouldn’t you?), or if you’ve splurged on anything pink lately too!
