In our video you will see some of the pieces we picked out to decorate our home for the holidays and to decorate ourselves of course (like the super cute cozy bear reading socks Ella was wearing…swoon!!). I love this time of year, not because of the gifts but you guys know that I just find the holidays so romantic, I hear Frank Sinatra & Michael Buble in my head, the snow falling gives me butterflies and I just want to cuddle up at home and drink hot chocolates or figure skate under the stars! We live in Canada of course so winter and I have a love hate relationship BUT more love I can promise you that, winter means hockey games – something I grew up around, going to games with my dad since I was little and now I bring my own little ones. Winter means building snow men and cuddling up by the fire to read your favourite book, but of course winter also means the holidays and more time with family and friends.

Our family LOVES reading, I have been an avid reader since I was little and it’s always been a form of stress relief for me other than cooking. My nana used to have me read a book with her my every visit during the holidays, well actually every visit we would read a book together and each visit she had me read something a little harder and always taught me to stop and look up a word in the dictionary if ever I didn’t understand it while reading – this always resonated with me and is something I will do with my children. Reading in french is also a big thing in our home since I am bilingual and I am teaching my kids the French language also, reading is SO important and books make for such a great book for any one. Chapters is where I stock up on books all year round, both english and french ones and if you shop there too you know that isn’t all you will find while you are there lol! This is where I can bring the kids to play trains in the kids section and read while I can enjoy a hot coffee calmly and just watch them interact, I can even read a book too if I want to! This is also the place I go to find gifts for friends and family and home decor. I can find magazines for every one, beautiful agenda and journals, fun quirky gifts and of course educational kids toys! Indigo is also where I shop to style my home and table, wether it’s for a recipe photo shoot or just for fun they have the best mugs and marble trays, you’ll see in the video the coffee french press I picked up that says “RISE & GRIND” – totally my style! I found the most adorable Mr & Mrs Claus mugs for Craig and I and little polar bear mugs for the kids and they love them SO much, we even found the cutest pine tree mug hugging marshmallows and I can’t wait to try and make some myself!!!!

Guess what? We are giving 3 people to chance to win a $100 Gift Card to Chapters Indigo, all you have to do to enter is Like and Share our Indigo Holiday Moment YouTube video above and Subscribe to our channel {here}! xo
