It’s almost the time of year when the kiddies get to dress up as their favourite characters and go door to door and collect candies for mommy & daddy lol!! This year we really wanted to get the kids in some handmade costumes made with love from Canada, after some hunting around online we ended up ordering from our favourite website ETSY, the greatest marketplace online for handmade goods. I’ve always loved ordering through this website, sometimes for home decor or cute stationary and I’ve even found the best blankets for around the house! When searching online this year for the kids costumes we were able to easily filter shops from Canada and we found one shop by Catherine Soucy in Quebec {here}, she makes the most adorable costumes and they are made of fleece!!! YES, a million times yes!! For once I have found costumes that will actually keep the kids super warm during our chilly Halloween weather here in Ontario. Instead of bulking on the layers after picking out a costume with barely any fabric to it at all I’ve spent less than last year for things that have true quality. The fabric is beautiful and soft, the details are adorable…Ella feels just like Cinderella in hers and I know she will be super warm, you can find her Cinderella dress {here}! Noah’s prince costume actually came with a crown in the form of a tuque so his ears and cheeks will stay warm too and because his is a cape I can put on a nice warm outfit underneath, you can shop his costume {here} and it comes in black and gold too in a few sizes ready to ship. The kids love the costumes so much, they arrived only a couple of days after I ordered them and they’ve been wearing them every day to just play dress up around the house *swoon*! When the costumes arrived I was so pleasantly surprised that I also surprised my niece and ordered her the Rapunzel dress from the same shop {found here}, Ella and her cousin trick or treat together every year so now they can match in their warm princess dresses and Noah can be their handsome prince! We debated dressing him as their dragon since Ella and Noah love the how to train your dragon movie but he picked the blue prince, you can shop the super super cute ninja costume {here} & a teddy bear one {here}!!! The shop has a bunch of different adorable costumes for the kids that are all made in fleece, perfect for our Canadian climate. After we found our costumes we hunted for some cute, unique treat or treat bags and found these monogrammed once that they can use for a few years, they’re perfect to avoid an excess of treats in your house so leave the pillow cases behind ha ha! For the monogramming they have different images to pick from and fonts so the kids can get involved picking their own if you want! You can find those on Etsy {here}!

You can shop for handmade costumes and decor items made in Canada too this year, they’ve created a full Halloween page for browsing {here}. I actually found a few halloween decor items while shopping for costumes too including this wreath to save me some time {here} ! You can even find printables for Halloween decoration for around the house or outside, shopping on Etsy is always nice for things like this especially because you end up with super unique items that no one else has for a great price. I ordered things for a little party we are hosting including this autumn garland {here}.

Craig and I both love Star Wars so we may even buy more costumes we have our eye on this adorable R2D2 kimono {here} and this jedi one {here}. There are so many options on Etsy for Halloween, have a browse and tell me what you find!
