Greenhouse Visits

As you all know we are living in our new house now but we are also still living the reno life, there is still a very long list of things to get finished but I am so happy to be living in our own home again! It’s nice to have the kids back on schedules again and in their own beds, to be cooking in my own kitchen!!!! Have you been following along on our stories? I am loving sharing this adventure with you! I had so many plans to share videos along the way weekly – I must be crazy right? Somewhere along the line I just had to stop work and focus on the kids and removing all the excess I added to my plate – I have bigger eyes than my stomach in every sense…I plan big, sometimes bigger than I can actually accomplish.

Things are seeming more realistic now though that we are in our new home, the renovations are more segregated to the other half of the house where me and the kids don’t really spend any time yet. We have been spending our days outside on our new trampoline or swimming in the pool, gardening together or cooking. One of my stress relievers believe it or not is visiting our local greenhouse. Bradford Greenhouses has always been my go-to for all of my plants! All of you are always asking about where I have bought my fiddle trees and this is where, did I ever tell you that my first 2 fiddle trees were actually in our wedding too??? We had both of our 8 ft tall trees at the entrance of a greenhouse where our wedding reception was, oddly enough it’s our wedding anniversary today too!

Visiting our local greenhouse, being surrounded by greenery and those gorgeous smells makes me so happy and Ella is the exact same way – she LOVES it there as much as I do! It is a weekly tradition of ours, I bring the kids in and we pick something out together or just browse the beauty. It’s also the perfect mother daughter afternoon date when my mom has Noah busy so she can have some 1 on 1. We slowly stroll the aisles and she asks me questions about every plant she sees, she smells them and I let her curiosity run wild. The florists here know her well and always greet her with a flower, perhaps another key reason as to why she loves it there so much ha ha! A couple weeks ago we made a visit and stocked up on some succulents and sunflowers – there are always so many new plants that you would think I am in a Homesense or Target.

I have a serious plant addiction guys and I couldn’t wait to fill my new bag by Pamela Munson with a bundle of fresh hydrangeas!!! This bag fits, oh well – every thing! I am always so happy when I find a bag that is so functional for my every day outings with the kids but it still fashionable – this bag is that bag right now for me and it paired so beautifully in this greenhouse shoot! You can’t even see all of the snacks I have packed in there and our water bottles, my wallet and every other random thing us ladies toss into our purses!!! You can find my bag by clicking {here}, it is called the Isla Bahia.

I am debating adding a section on the blog for my #greenthumb posts, it would have things like care for fiddle leaf figs and gardening tips, house plant stuff like decorating with them etc – let me know your thoughts!

A big thanks to our photographer Bettina Bogar for capturing this fun greenhouse visit, working with her has been such a breeze and I am so excited to finall be getting back into things after taking a wee break from social to “disconnect”. We have so many fun collaborations ahead to share with you and soon the new house will be revealed!!! xo
