Hawaii Family Trip II

{So many of you have messaged me and emailed me about our stroller from my snap chat while in Hawaii and you can check out their website here that links to their social media channels OR check out their Facebook page here! } Can you tell I am missing the beach? We’ve been talking about Hawaii every day and how much we miss it, that place brings out the smiles in every one and of course we are all craving some sun too! I wanted to share some more snap shots of our memories from Maui in February. Maui was always at the top of my list of places to go and I am so grateful we were able to take a family vacation there this year! 2 weeks to me is the perfect amount of time, time to relax upon arrival and get comfortable, enough time to have adventures with no rush of getting home. Within 24 hours we were all on island time, I miss that. We slept so well there, we didn’t watch tv and enjoyed extra cuddles from the kids. We swam in the ocean every day and watched the sunrise while enjoying our coffee…hot! We took walks every day with the kids in the new Valco Baby double stroller and they napped with the ocean breeze on their skin, I really didn’t appreciate how valuable a stroller can be until after having our first. I think it was one of my first few midwife appointments where for an entire year I was always carrying Ella instead of just rolling her into places with me and saving my back the aches. It must of been my want for always having her close and save in my arms. Lately I am all about the stroller, it couldn’t be because I have two right? Ha! Of course it is, but strollers on vacation with kids under 4 can truly be the fine line between a relaxing trip and a stressful one. We flew through the airports and our kids were comfy, we were able to take part in all daily activities even though it was nap time thanks to this stroller and when the kids were struggling to fall asleep the first few nights due to being away from home…we walked them in the stroller et voila! I’ll be doing a full feature on the stroller in April so I can tell you more about it and why we loved it in Hawaii especially.

I mentioned in our first Hawaii post that it was our first family trip with my dad, I have my dad, my step-mother and 2 step-brothers and we’ve all been a family for 13 years now I believe? And this was the very first time we ALL travelled to another country together. I loved being all up in each others space, getting on each others nerves, going on adventures, cooking together…sharing laughs, so many laughs! I can’t wait for our next family trip, but I think big family trips are best with some good breaks in between haha!!

We have some more travel coming up for the blog and I can’t share any details just yet but if you follow along on snap chat {roxannawest} I promise you will the first to know when I do! xo
