In October we were so lucky to celebrate Noah turning 2 at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia with American Express! It was the kids and Craigs first time being in Vancouver and I was so excited to show them around and of course enjoy the delicious food at our hotel + our GORGEOUS suite. If you remember following along on our Instagram stories you will remember this room, windows across the entire living room and dining room (and bedroom of course) and a lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful downtown waterfront. It was incredible waking up to the most picturesque sunrises and watching the sunset after dinner while enjoying some wine as the kids watched a movie to wind down, we rented The Secret Life of Pets during our stay which was so handy and the kids loved it! I could say it gave us some adult time but we love movies and enjoyed it too! The kids and us were in such awe, we even got a second room for my mom at half off! Travelling with family is always more enjoyable and of course bringing nana along meant more quality time with the kiddos for her and some romantic date nights for Craig and I, so nice! Who doesn’t appreciate an extra set of hands while travelling am I right!!? Our suite was nothing short of perfection and even better was that my mom was just a doorway away, we basically had our own wing with a shared entrance. My mom also loved her room and enjoyed some luxury which made us happy to let her be pampered to show our appreciation for her helping us with the kids. We loved the food at our hotel and we especially love that they pride themselves on locally sourced and ocean wise ingredients – very important to our family. We especially enjoyed the pool at our hotel and those delish pancakes and pumpkin spiced lattes…drooling just thinking of it all now!! The pumpkin spiced latte was from their cafe, Giovane italian inspired cafe & eatery downstairs (a must if you are in the area), the pumpkin is real not just an artificial flavouring…makes a world of difference! If you are on the hunt for the perfect place to take the family and explore one of Canada’s beautiful western cities, I truly recommend Fairmont Pacific Rim’s Family Affair Package!

Fairmont Pacific Rim made such an effort to make our kids feel special and excited, they had two Fairmont Beaver stuffed animals in mini robes waiting for them in the suite plus delish cookies (and champagne for mom and dad haha)! Both of our kids LOVE stuffed animals so they of course were a hit, they also loved the big gorgeous rooftop pool and so did Craig. He took them a couple of times so I could take care of some work without any interruptions, I ordered room service so we could have dinner ready by the time they came upstairs…so convenient! They went swimming almost every day during our visit, the water was the perfect temperature even though it was fall and cool outside.

We couldn’t wait to explore the hotel and the area after some much needed rest after a long flight…here are some great features of this beautiful Fairmont hotel & the area. We explored to the local aquarium and the kids fell in love with the star fish exhibit, restaurants & shops and of course parks and the waterfront!
