LOOK ONELOOK TWO

If you’ve been following along for awhile now you know that I am on my third office makeover and this time with Joss & Main, this room will be the death of my honestly! It is such an awkward shaped room that was used as a dining room previous to when we bought this house and we made it an office. You all know I love blue, and I love velvet so for this space I was hoping to incorporate a beautiful, rich navy blue couch. Well, as you are furnishing a room things can get confusing and interesting, your styles begin to blend and inspirations come from every where and can make you question every thing you’ve had planned for a space! Above I’ve shared 2 styles I created with Joss & Main pieces, my inspiration boards you can say. If you see the Chanel print in both images this was my focal point, those prints are by photographer & blogger Anna of Anna With Love. I love every thing about her CHANEL shop front door print and it has inspired so many decisions for this space. I’m French so I of course wanted to have French elements in the space without it being too feminine and intimidating to my husband while also not being “touristy”. The rich navy doors in the print are what had me debating painting one wall that exact colour vs a navy velvet couch, it helped me decide to opt for a more outdoors looking lantern for the light fixture, the brings the culture filled streets of Paris indoors. It inspired me to go out of my comfort zone and get a custom seaside coloured linen roman shade as a window covering from Q Design Centre (and they match PERFECTLY)! I tend to bounce between decisive and indecisive, I think I have it all figured out and then I spend an evening considering different pieces for the space and end up texting back and forth with my friend and professional interior designer Ashley Davidson for hours – so this week & next we are FINISHING the office and photographing it! I am so lucky to have friends in the industry that let me pick their brains and are passionate about design and collaboration together to make spaces beautiful!!
What are your thoughts? Both vibes are very similar, cozy focused with fur and brass accents. You’ll notice that both spaces have some of the same products, just a different overall look…I’ve linked to every thing below for you and you can navigate easily since I’ve numbered it all too. I’d love to know which of these two looks YOU love most and why? xo
