Front of the line with american express

If you’ve followed my blog for a while you know my love of music, from a young age I have been passionate about it. I’m a fan of so many genres and this weekend Craig and I agreed that we had to get back into our favourite date night, concerts! We’ve had two children in the past four years, back to back pregnancies and home renos galore which has left little time for music but this summer we’ve already started our tradition back up. I knooowww you’ve all been loving my snaps behind-the-scenes of the last 3 shows I’ve attended with my Amex Access. I attended City & Colour with Craig, The Dixie Chicks with my mom (who’s a huge fan) and of course the oh-so snappable Luke Bryan with my besties. These shows were AMAZING and each for their own reasons, of course I enjoyed each concert with different people but being an American Express Cardmember is what made each experience more memorable for myself and my guests. I am not big on crowds or lineups, but thanks to my Amex Card and its exclusive perks,  I got to breeze through the line with Priority Access and the Front Of The Line entrance at the Molson Amp. Getting right into the concert is a must for me. Especially with the heat we’ve been experiencing, who wants to stand in line in the hot sun???? Not us!! For each concert, I bolted right to the Amex Lounge for the best food on the premises (deep fried olives, yes please!), a luxurious atmosphere with a great crowd and private washrooms! Naturally the private washroom access is key to avoid lines, but the lounge also has amazing comfy plush seating you can reserve ahead of time, great staff and a great bar! They have big tvs in there to watch the show if you perhaps have lawn tickets and don’t feel like being on the lawn – especially if the weather isn’t on your side. So many times the Amex Lounge has saved us from the rain! Big plus. For City & Colour we chose lawn tickets, their music is a much more chill vibe and the weather was amazing…we sat under the stars singing to our favourite songs (so romantic) – it was the perfect date night. One thing I can suggest for lawn tickets would be to pack a blanket to sit on, it makes it that much more enjoyable. For Dixie Chicks & Luke Bryan we were in the FRONT ROW. Yes, those snaps behind-the-scenes were incredible, am I right???? We were SO close that my mom actually cried when the Dixie Chicks started playing and I really don’t think I can experience a concert any other way now- call me a front row concert snob if you must lol! There’s nothing like having access to the front row section – another perk of being an American Express Cardmember that I have to brag about. From my mother-daughter concert night to my night out with my bestie, it’s no secret you can also get in on the fun and access similar upcoming events. You can create your own memorable moments with Amex through Front Of The Line presales and you can stay in the know with eUpdates sent directly to your inbox. Those are just a few of the ways I’m making concert season even sweeter this summer! For front row all I can suggest is to wear comfy shoes, to avoid your toes getting squished in all of the excitement or from all of the jumping and cheering you will be doing yourself! Lastly, bring a travelling phone charger – mine died each concert because of all of my Snap Chatting trying to share the amazing experience with all of you!!! Luckily the amazing staff at the Amex Lounge let me plug in my phone, such great staff! Are you hitting any concerts this summer? Have you attended any shows already? Where will you sit? We are eagerly awaiting our next show, the Lumineers – one of our all time favourite bands. We actually used to sing “Ho Hey” to our daughter when she was growing inside my belly (cue happy tears). We can’t wait to attend and enjoy some more of our favourite foods inside the Amex Lounge beforehand and I can’t wait to share the behind-the-scenes of that show with you guys on snap…I promise I will bring a travelling charger this time lol!

All of these images are from my iphone, candid and in the moment, I hope you love them as much as I do. PS What did you think of my summer festival outfits so far? I’ve been loving a good comfy pair of jean shorts, a plain white tee and my fringe detailed pieces – I add in a pair of cute sneakers or boots and voila! Perfect summer concert wear that goes from day to night!
