My Girl

After getting some new bangs & fresh ombre put in my hair by my friend Kate at the White Door Salon we had a mini mother daughter shoot of Ella and I just being us around the house. This little girl is always all smiles and FULL or energy! Every one who has boys always tells me that when I have a boy it is all different because they never stop and are always running around, never running out of energy…well that is our Ella. No shortage of energy and fun times with her, she is always entertaining us and also tiring us out ha ha! We are now in our 38th week of the pregnancy which means we have passed the length of our first pregnancy and boy am I ready for this baby to *ahem* exit. Well, I am ready and not ready? I am scared for labour, friends ask why when I have already done it before…well people that is exactly why I am scared! We used midwives with Ella and I had no epidural as planned, this time I am doing the same and yes to some it sounds insane. This is why I am scared, half of me is ready for labour to bring it on and the other half is shaking in its boots. I am hopeful that my labour is a smooth and short one this time around.

These shots were taken in our bedroom, where nightly I snuggle my ever so comforting Bumpnest pillow. This pillow is unreal and I now suggest it to every mama-to-be that I know, Ella even enjoys cuddling in bed with me in it and I know that it will be of great use when nursing in bed after the baby is born! This company is truly focused on making sure mommies get a good nights sleep, when they found out that I was suffering again from terrible indigestion in the evenings they sent me their entire Heartburn Relief System which is PHENOMENAL!! I feel like I have my own personally tailored bed on or actual bed if that makes any sense? Every inch of it is built for comfort, no matter how I need to move around in the night I always have that perfect amount of pillow and elevation. Their pillows come in the most gorgeous fabrics and are incredibly soft. Another thing I love about this company is their Scraps2Caps program where fabric scraps are used to make soft baby hats to be sent to their charitable partners. These partners send these hats to the less fortunate in US, Canada, Africa & India so that their babies are not just leaving the hospitals in just a diaper, so sweet!
