Kimono Love

Last night my cravings went citrus on me – absolute torture with the heartburn I have been getting. It is the same as what I had with Ella during the last 8 weeks of pregnancy, that awful burn that has you sleeping in a semi sitting position desperate for relief. I was craving a tall glass of ice cold orange juice and gave in, I should know better and in the back of my mind I knew not to touch it, but I did and suffered until about 3am! Ella didn’t have the best sleep either, we woke to her calling out to us around 1 in the morning and our poor little doll was so distraught…all she wanted was our cuddles, which she got and always will. As we laid there with her in the middle of us she asked us to hold both of our hands, “mommy hand please, daddy hand please”. The room may have been dark but I could see Craigs blushing & beaming smile that matched my own, I will always cherish those simple moments with that little hand in mine and all of us cuddling close. These moments make heartburn less of a burden because I know there is another sweet soul coming to bring more ear to ear smiles our way and a ton of cuddles too!

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this comfortable & luxurious kimono courtesy of Silk and More, Shikha the shop owner is a wonderful woman to work with and will take the time to make exactly what you want. I am so thrilled that we will be working together when the wedding comes around, all of my bridesmaids will get ready in one of these lovelies (colour to be determined) and so will our little matching flower girls, how precious!!! This one is a maternity Kimono however anyone could wear it truly, I cannot wait to have this item for after delivery to lounge around in at home while nursing, it is so soft to the skin and I purposely asked for it to be a long length so I can lounge in it during the colder months before changing out of my pyjamas…if I do haha. When you peruse her shop on Etsy you will find such a wide variety of colours and prints to choose from, good luck deciding on just one!
