Tis the season

As per tradition we hit up the tree farm this year to pick out our christmas tree (is there really any other way to do it?), I love the smell of a fresh tree and yes the far from warm adventure of cutting it down and getting it back to the truck. Hot chocolates, sleigh rides, carolling…going cross eyed from eying down every tree twice…what’s not to love!?! In the end we chose a thin & somewhat wonky tree, fake trees are always pristine and I wanted a tree this year with an au-naturel feel to it. Ella was adorable all bundled in her snow suit, now that she is walking this year one would assume it would be easier for her to enjoy but those mini snow boots for babies aren’t exactly the most simple of shoes to get around in. I am of course a paranoid mama that was too worried about her freezing to let her play for long and naturally all she wanted to do was flee our arms and sit in the snow…you know how it is. Craig was ill prepared as we rushed out the door and he forgot to change into snow boots, my poor babe what a fail. We all survived as did his feet thankfully.
