Six Things

{ Hot tea in bed & a good read }
Unfortunately these lovely items were paired with a bad cold, I honestly NEVER get sick and I am pretty sure my body battled this one for a good two weeks before it finally got to me & it is an awful one let me tell you!
{ Crafting when I can’t sleep }
Well since I do aesthetics in my home I sometimes enjoy giving gift certificates to friends for waxing or facials yet I have never had proper ones made…so therefore I create my own and personalize them!
{ Moments in my day where I can just sip, savour & write }
A delicious moment to sip my chai latte from Starbucks, savour a macaron or two (or 3?) and plan ahead in my Kate Spade agenda.
{ Putting gifts together }
I love gifting and everything it entails…I love shopping for gifts, wrapping the gifts, decorating the wrapped gifts and most recently making creative cards to join them.
{ These Two }
Now that our daughter is over a year old it isn’t as easy for her to fall asleep on us as it was when she was 6 months old, we absolutely relish in these sweet moments when all they want are to be in your arms.
{ Creative, last minute…delicious dishes }

This meal took a little over an hour in total and it was magnificent!
Preheat the oven to 350, cut a butternut squash in half and bake it in a pan with 1/4″ of water for roughly 40 minutes (depending on the size of the squash. In the meantime open a mason jar of tomatoes, fry up some chicken in coconut oil, oregano, FRESH basil and toss in some spinach near the end. Boil your lasagna noodles and once your ingredients are cooked and ready, mash the butternut squash. Now it is time to laayer your ingredients as you desire. We have jarred tomatoes my father-in-law made over the summer but canned tomatoes will work perfectly! I always begin with the tomatoes and sauce then my noodle & filling layers, in this one specifically I put the squash and cheese together on the bottom and top layers and the middle contained the chicken & spinach layer…and of course the end was a ton of sauce and cheese.
I have always enjoyed reading the ‘Five Things’ post on Cupcakes & Cashmere, it’s simplicity is always refreshing and it is the perfect quick read during a busy morning. So I made my own twist on the post by adding 1 thing, I do prefer the number 6 and the photos will be mainly low quality Iphone ones (sorry). I’m sure you can understand, my six things are just caught by my phone most of the time.
